Team Malaysia

It is always nice to meet with other believers in Christ to serve people. It shows we are one in a community and we work together to accomplish a large task. Such is the case for the team Maylasia who will be going to serve in Penang for Week Without Walls. They will be working with the Karwan Center to serve the poor families. The Karwan Center is a Christian organization that serves the unschooled people, and the old and senile; they cook and clean for them. The team leaders for Malaysia are Mr. More, Ms. Keister, Mr. Padgett, and Ms. Phua. They are excited and happy to work with this organization to serve the Malaysians as fellow believers of Christ. While there, the team will be helping the Karwan Center in doing its daily job: cooking, cleaning, and doing the laundry; they will also be playing music and performing for the people.

To prepare for the trip, the Malaysian team is making their skits, rehearsing their songs, and learning more about service with the Karwan Center. The Malaysian team has also put their skills into action to prepare by doing services for the elementary students. They want to reach out to them and serve them, which will in turn help them enhance their skills and in making their skits. The students are working well with their obligations to this WWoW trip with Victor and Tessa as the leading students. The team asks for prayers that God would give them all many opportunities to serve with enough work for everyone because they are a big team. Also, that God enable them to serve the people well; that all will be a good representation of Christ; and that the team be an encouragement to the Karwan Center. The team also has pictures to show of their various activities to give us a glimpse of what they are doing. These pictures below are the courtesy of the team’s photographer, Joost Athens.
