Holland’s Annual King’s Day

Welcome back! On April 29th, Holland celebrated its annual King’s Day. This particular day is where the Dutch Royal Family celebrates the King’s birthday. This has been an annual tradition, previously known as Queen’s Day. Queen’s Day originated from the last Monarch, Queen Beatrix, whom made the day in order of celebration of her mother’s birthday. To this day, the festival is celebrated on the birthday of the King. This festival brings a lot of celebration to the small country, and the Royal Family will parade through different areas of Holland to greet the people and join in on the celebration!Koningsdag in De Rijp
