As you may have noticed, the school year is very quickly coming to an end. We at Knightly News want you to be your healthiest, happiest, best self right up until the very last day. So, here are a few tips to keep you in the best possible condition before Summer.

1) Have a good sleeping schedule. This might sound like a broken record, but it’s one of the kindest things you can do for yourself. As High School students, we should be getting at least 8-9 hours of sleep every night. Many of you have sports, ECA’s and other commitments, so this can be challenging, but having a steady sleeping pattern will do wonders for your mental and physical health.

2) Fill yourself with good, healthy food. We all know that fruits and veggies are good for us – it’s just hard to remember that when there is a whole world of chocolate and ice cream tempting us every day. As the experts say, “Everything in moderation.” So, it’s okay to treat yourself, but try to find some good, wholesome food to munch on. A good idea would be to find better alternatives for your favorite junk foods!

 3) Be kind to yourself. Take a bath, watch a movie, read a book, hang out with your friends, ride a bike, fly a kite, go for a run, draw, create something new. It’s important to take time out to do something YOU enjoy. It’s not a waste of time – in fact, you’ll gain more time. Taking a breather every now and again is good for your soul.

My Gran always says that everyday, you should do something:

1. Productive

2. For yourself

3. For someone else

A lot of people love you, so take care of yourself!
